Udama Women Empowerment Initiative is a nonprofit organization committed to expanding economic opportunities for women in underserved communities through interest-free financing, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship support.
Founded in 2021 and formally registered in 2026, Udama was established on the belief that access to ethical, affordable capital can transform lives, strengthen families, and build more resilient communities. We provide interest-free microloans to women who are often excluded from traditional financial services, enabling them to start, sustain, or grow small businesses without the burden of interest. Beyond financing, we work closely with women's cooperative groups to provide financial education, mentorship, and ongoing support that helps members build sustainable livelihoods and improve household income.
